CREATIVE DIRECTION
As Art Director, I spearheaded the creative vision and was instrumental in the visual storytelling of the magazine’s bi-annual issues. Leading a team of over 30 designers, I oversaw the design of magazine spreads and the creation of promotional graphics for social media, blogs, and flyers.
As co-Editor-in-Chief, I was responsible for setting the editorial vision, managing a team of 100+ members to execute themed photo shoots, the release of Issue 11: The Classics, a launch party, and various fundraising events. I oversaw all operations across writing, design, digital, finance, and PR, with final authority on executive decisions.
Aiming to create art that counters the rising prominence of AI, The Classics was entirely born from human hands and thought. Focusing on the handmade and artisanal craft of pre-production, our team painted entire sets, reinvigorated old texts, and used historic St. Louis spaces as locations.
Across the span of three months, we had five shoots that fell under this theme. I attended each one, helping with setup and directing the models.
